When David Richards took control of BAR in late 2001, virtually hours before the launch of the 2002 car, it was a massive blow to team founder Craig Pollock.
Throughout 2002, the Scotsman was a regular in the BAR garage, much to the chagrin of Richards.
In 2003, Pollock's visits to the BAR garage were few and far between, as he was now involved with his own ChampCar team.
If BAR is seriously considering taking Villeneuve back on board, it's widely considered that Pollock, the Canadian's manager and mentor, could be a 'fly in the ointment', not so, says the 1997 World Champion.
"If Craig is an issue, then he doesn't have to be involved," Jacques told Autosport magazine. "He can work from the office, and I can easily be a front man. I've been there long enough."
The magazine claims that should he fail to secure an F1 drive in 2005, Villeneuve would most likely turn to NASCAR (!)
