Christijan Albers has postponed his F1 test with Jordan, scheduled for 15th September.
In a brief statement on his website, Christijan writes: "I talked it over with Michel Perridon (Trust Computers) and the Jordan team and we decided to postpone the test.
He reveals that the reason for the postponement is so that he can fully concentrate on the remainder of the DTM, in which he is currently running second.
"I am really happy with the proposed test with Jordan and appreciate that they are willing to be so flexible," he continues. "After the DTM-Championship I will prepare myself well for this test as I want to show the team I belong in Formula One.
"Formula One is my ultimate goal in my career and I hope to become a Formula One driver one day at a strong team. I would like to thank Trust for their support and Jordan for the chance they are offering me."
According to a rather rude (joke!) spokeswoman at Jordan, Albers will be given a test at the first opportunity, once the post-season test ban ends in December.
