The Australian media is claiming that Mark Webber's signing to WilliamsF1 for 2005 is to be officially announced in the next couple of days.
The Australian had previously said that he was unable to make any decision before the Hungarian Grand Prix, but it seems that the imminent signing of Giancarlo Fisichella to Renault is about to kick-start the 2005 driver transfer market.
Several Australian TV stations carried interviews with Webber, who said that driving for WilliamsF1 will be a great opportunity for him, and something he has been looking forward to - driving for a proven, race winning team - for some time.
He admitted that he would be sorry to leave Jaguar, but hoped that the WilliamsF1 move would give him the opportunity to prove his critics wrong.
With the Webber/Fisichella moves due to be made official in the next 48-hours, it's thought that several other big moves could be made public in the next few days, including Jarno Trulli's switch to Toyota.
