Today, the Finn lapped the Northamptonshire track in 1:18.105, almost a full second quicker than teammate David Coulthard.
The Finn was running a revised aerodynamic package at the front, including a new nose and front wing. However, difficult weather conditions, including a number of rain showers and high winds, meant that the team was unable to draw any serious conclusions.
Kimi completed 57 laps, while David completed 52, neither driver encountering any problems.
Jordan had three drivers on duty, with regular drivers Nick Heidfeld and Giorgio Pantano joined by Hungary-based Israeli, Chanoch Nissany. The 40-year-old's running was brought to a halt following an engine failure, while Pantano, quicker of the Irish outfit's two racers, was over four seconds off the pace. Heidfeld only ran in the morning when the track was still damp, hence his time.
