NEWS STORY
Over the last couple of days we've posted a number of press releases and statements from those involved in the 'future of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone' saga.
We've heard from Alexander Hooton, chief executive of the British Racing Drivers' Club, which owns Silverstone, then we heard from Bernie Ecclestone's FOM and finally we heard of Sir Jackie Stewart's dismay at Bernie's comments.
In all honesty the subject of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone has become tedious and tiresome. In much the same way that Max Mosley has lost patience with the team principals, so we have grown heartily sick of the constant sniping between various parties that all, quite clearly, have hidden agendas.
It's not that we don't care about Silverstone or indeed the future of F1 in Britain, far from it, it's just that we're sick of all the bull****.
Therefore, rather than report the public bickering, so reminiscent of one of those appalling mobile phone conversations one has to endure on the train - "so she said.. and then I said, and finally he said" - we'll let those involved slug it out, and bring you the result when they've finished.
