It's understood the WilliamsF1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya is to seek specialist medical advice ahead of this weekend's British GP, as a result of neck pain which effectively ruined his French race.
"It was a very difficult race," said Montoya last night, "especially because of an intense pain in my neck, which nearly prevented me from being able to keep my head up.
"I hurt my neck on Friday, when I crashed," he revealed, "but I didn't expect the pain to become so sharp in the race."
In addition to the neck pain, the Colombian suffered a spin, as a result of hitting the kerbs at the start of the pit straight, which cost him several valuable positions.
We understand that Juan Pablo will see a specialist today (Monday).
