Following the back-to-back North American Grands Prix, testing resumed today in preparation for the forthcoming back-to-back events in France and Britain.

With the 'new' McLaren due to be introduced at Magny-Cours, the Woking outfit had two cars of its MP4-19Bs on duty today, with test drivers Alexander Wurz and Pedro de la Rosa at the wheel.

Wurz posted the fastest time of the day, but this was 2.748s slower than the fastest time posted at the track this year - ironically by Kimi Raikkonen in the MP4-19 in January - and 0.908s slower than the Austrian's own best time of the year, posted in February.

Alexander completed 48 laps, while teammate Pedro de la Rosa, 0.021s slower, completed 38 laps.

Also on duty was Ricardo Zonta, who was in action for Toyota. Although the Brazilian completed the most laps (77), he was 1.375s off the pace.

WilliamsF1 and BAR will join McLaren and Toyota tomorrow, Wednesday. Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato will be on duty for the Brackley outfit, while Marc Gene and Antonio Pizzonia will represent the Grove team.
