Fernando Alonso admits that he is going to need the help of Lady Luck this season, even if it is only in terms of causing Sebastian Vettel to have one bad weekend.

After 6 races, the German enjoys a 29 point lead over the Spaniard, having scored points in every round indeed, never scoring less than 12.

On the other hand, a combination of mistakes, car problems and sheer bad luck, have seen Alonso lose ground, despite being one of only two drivers to have won twice this season.

As Ferrari attempts to turn the situation around, the Spaniard admits that he is hoping for a little assistance from elsewhere.

"What is a little bit out of normality at the moment is the points that Sebastian has scored in these six races," he told reporters. "We need to try to finish in front of him.

"Unlucky races come to everyone and will come to him as well," he continued. "It came to Kimi in Monaco with the accident (with Perez) and we are very close, only five points behind him. It will also come to Sebastian and in that race we need to maximise it.

"In Monaco, we didn't score so many points so we need four or five consecutive races on the podium or close to the podium to recover some of the points we have missed," he added. "This weekend, we must score good points.
