There is more to come; according to Kimi Raikkonen. The Finn's Lotus has proven itself one of the most consistent cars throughout the season so far, but Raikkonen doesn't believe he's maximised his chances.

""We're still not 100% happy on how things have gone on all the weekends but I would say that I was expecting that," he told journalists when asked about his year to date. "I didn't think that suddenly everything was perfect when we come in. It's still quite early days in the season."

A disappointing qualifying session in Australia was turned into points, while the Finn also scored at the Malaysian Grand Prix. It was in Bahrain however, that Raikkonen really confirmed his return following a two-year Formula One sabbatical. A strong drive to second spot, after attacking Sebastian Vettel for the lead, saw the 2007 world champion climb the podium for the first time since the 2009 Italian Grand Prix.

However, it's not enough. While Bahrain may have been his best race to date he maintains that "none of them have been perfect.

"We seem to be fast in some places and a bit off in other places but I think overall we've been pretty strong in all the races.

"We just have to work to improve" he added. "If we do everything 100% right, and we can improve the car in the same speed as the others, than we should have a chance.

"I'm not here just to drive around," he insisted. "We will try to win races, we try to do well but I have no idea what's going to happen this weekend or in the rest of the season."
