2010 world championship runner-up Fernando Alonso has given the new Ferrari F150 its first track run.

A couple of hours after the car's unveiling - the interviews, press briefings and lunch out of the way - the team walked the short distance to the Fiorano track where the Spaniard got behind the wheel of the F150 for a shakedown which will also be used for promotional purposes.

A rain shower had left the track a little damp, consequently intermediates were the order of the day as Alonso took to the track, much to the delight of the few invited guests, the fans peering through the fences and team president Luca di Montezemolo.

Felipe Massa will get his first run in the car tomorrow before the team heads off to Valencia where the first pre season test gets underway on Tuesday.
