The Suzuka circuit is one of the oldest remaining tracks of the Formula 1 Championship. It is a very technical one, but almost every driver counts it amongst their favorites. The 5.807 km of the figure-eight circuit are very special as it is the only layout on the Formula One calendar which crosses under itself. Heading to the hairpin is the best opportunity to overtake a rival. After 'Spoon Curve', a never-ending left-hander, the cars are spat out onto a long straight up to the legendary 130R - a 130 degree and 300km/h left-hand corner. At this point of the circuit, it is very important that the oil supply of the engine doesn't get interrupted due to high lateral forces.

After an unfortunate result at the Singapore Grand Prix, Hispania Racing, HRT F1 Team is looking forward to the next race in Japan, where it will race for the first time. The Spanish team is eager to keep on improving and showing another positive performance.

Dr. Colin Kolles, Team Principal: "The Suzuka circuit is one of the best circuits ever for me. It is very challenging for the drivers and it offers almost every type of corners. There are many exciting and high-speed ones, especially the 130R. If the drivers make a mistake in one of the first seven corners, they pay for it even longer and cannot set their best lap time. To find a good rhythm in the car is of prime importance as well as a good car performance. After our unfortunate race in Singapore, we look ahead and want to bring both cars to the finish line again."
