Adrian Sutil has been handed a post race drive-through penalty for cutting the circuit on the opening lap of today's Singapore Grand Prix.

The stewards received a report from race director Charlie Whiting who claimed that Sutil left the circuit at turn 7, thereby gaining an advantage.

As the race had ended before the penalty could be imposed, the Force India driver has had 20 seconds added to his race time.

It drops the German from eighth to tenth in the provisional results, promoting Petrov into the final points paying position.
