Championship leader Mark Webber could call an end to his Formula One career when his current deal with Red Bull expires at the end of 2011, the Australian has revealed.

"I cannot guarantee that my head will be the same in 2011," he's reported as saying in Esporte Espetacular. "Sure, I want to try and win the world title. I know that it changes people's lives, changes the person, and I want to see how that feels."

The Australian has found support in recent days from former FIA President Max Mosley who said he believes Webber "has the makings of a champion," in an interview with the Welt am Sonntag newspaper.

"He has improved once again this year as a driver, and is in the best car," said the Englishman. "I also think the public likes his story; a man who fought for years and could now be rewarded for this admirable energy."

Webber made his Formula One debut for Minardi in 2002, immediately hitting the headlines in Australia by claiming fifth on his debut - he and Paul Stoddart climbing the podium at Albert Park in celebration of the team's first points in more than two years.

The Queanbeyan native then went on to join Jaguar and Williams before rejoining the former Jaguar team in its current Red Bull incarnation in 2007. He's since become the third Australian to win a Grand Prix joining former World Champions Sir Jack Brabham and Alan Jones.
