Durango has announced that it will not be contesting the final round of the 2009 GP2 Series at Portimao this weekend.

Having missed last weekend's even at Monza, Durango has announced that it will not be contesting the final round of the 2009 GP2 Series at Portimao this weekend.

Explaining the decision, team principal Ivone Pinton said: "Our trucks were already travelling to Portugal, but this race is not in conjunction with Formula 1, which made it difficult to find drivers. At this stage instead of persisting in seeking drivers, maybe not ready enough for such a commitment, we preferred to withdraw from the event. I am sure that at this stage this pause is the better solution for us all."
