GP2 Series team iSport issued the following today, Tursday 19 December:

Following our winter test programme, we set out with a target of signing the two drivers who performed well in the tests and wanted to do both the Asia and Main Series. 2008 will see Bruno Senna (right) and Karun Chandhok drive in both Series for iSport. This line up allows the team more time together whilst we work with a familiar car in Asia, so that we should be in better shape when it comes to developing the new car.

Our first contact with Bruno came at the end of 2006, when he tested for us and impressed the whole team in very difficult conditions. We watched his progress through 2007 and feel sure that he is ready to mount a strong championship challenge. Bruno's character and attitude fits very well in our team and we hope to enjoy a successful season with him.

Karun was one of the surprises of 2007 and again, made a good impression on the team when he tested for us in Jerez. Fast becoming one of India's top sportsmen, Karun is the perfect candidate for the Asia Series and is perfectly placed to make the step up to front runner in the Main Series. He is calm and intelligent and will form a great pairing with Bruno.

The human relationships have always been very important to iSport and in these two drivers we believe we have a very strong partnership that will work well together and integrate fully with the team.
