It would appear that Timo Glock looks set to partner Jarno Trulli at Toyota next season, following the decision of the Contract Recognition Board, which is understood to have found in favour of the Japanese team in its dispute with BMW.

The German team now accepts that it has lost the 2007 GP2 Champion, with Reuters quoting Mario Theissen as saying: "Timo Glock will no longer be driving for the BMW Sauber F1 team next year. We have offered him the position of test driver in our team but he has been given the opportunity to race for another team."

The 25-year-old contested four races for Jordan in 2004, initially deputising for Giorgio Pantano in Canada, when the Italian experienced "personal problems" (later found to be a lack of financial backing) and the final three races of the season when his sponsorship finally ran out. The German impressed by scoring two points on his F1 debut, finishing seventh, ahead of teammate Nick Heidfeld.

It is thought that Toyota could officially announce Glock as early as next week.
