Luca Filippi has topped this morning's timesheets at Circuit Paul Ricard for ART Grand Prix. The Italian was the only driver to dip into the 1:12s in a session punctuated by a number of red flags.

The Italian was followed on the timesheets by Pastor Maldonado who continued his impressive return to the series with team champions iSport International. The Venezuelan was less than a tenth of a second slower than Filippi but more than a quarter of a second faster than yesterday's pace setter Andreas Zuber who was running for Campos Grand Prix for the first time.

Andy Soucek continued to show DPR's upturn in form with fourth, while Kamui Kobayashi finally showed his much vaunted potential with the fifth fastest lap for Dams, ahead of Sebastien Buemi, Adrian Valles, Ben Hanley, Davide Valsecchi and Oliver Jarvis.
