A1 Team Pakistan travelled to the Czech Republic this week, for round two of the 2007/08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Adam Khan will once again represent Pakistan, having rejoined the team for the season opener in the Netherlands.

Last time out in Zandvoort, the team endured treacherous weather conditions, as Khan made his first visit to the Dutch track. With little overtaking opportunities around the circuit, Khan had few chances to make up positions during the short Sprint race and crossed the line 18th. An unlucky weekend was compounded by contact with the A1 Team Lebanon car early on in the Feature race, which put Pakistan out of contention.

With Zandvoort now behind them, the team are focusing on round two of this 11 round season. The 3.36 mile long Brno circuit, located three hours from the capital city Prague, features numerous undulations and 14 corners, providing plenty of overtaking opportunities for the 22 A1GP cars.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Khan commented, "It's great to be back at an A1GP event, it has only been two weeks since the last race at Zandvoort, but I can't wait to get back in the car again.

"Once again I have no experience of the circuit, but it look like a great track. I've walked around the circuit with my engineer and it looks very interesting with lots of twists and turns. I think it will be important to learn the track as quickly as possible this weekend, to get up to speed with the numerous drivers who raced here last season.

"The first round was very much a learning curve for the team, and unfortunately the poor weather conditions throughout practice and qualifying meant that I had no experience of a dry track on race day. Despite it being our first race weekend working together as a team, the guys did a great job in Zandvoort. Hopefully we will be able to build on that this weekend and get some good results for Pakistan."

A1 Team Pakistan seatholder Arif Husain added, "After a promising start to the season last time out at Zandvoort, the team are looking forward to getting back on track at Brno this weekend. Again, this track is a new challenge for Adam, but I have every confidence in him and not that he and the team will do their very best to make Pakistan proud."
