A1 Team Pakistan, representing the nation in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, will be back on the racetrack this weekend, in the second round of competition. Nur Ali will be driving for the team, after his debut in the Series at Zandvoort last week, as the Series heads to the Masaryk Automotodrom Brno in the Czech Republic.

Ali, born in Karachi, was given his first taste of the A1GP car in the Netherlands event and the weekend was a steep learning curve for the team, with the crew and engineers working closely with Ali to lay the foundations of a cohesive A1 Team Pakistan unit.

A1 Team Pakistan carries a distinctive green and white livery reflecting the national flag and this is seen by millions of television viewers around the world watching the A1GP Series, as well as the thousands trackside at each event. The team is proud to represent its nation in an international field of 23 cars. This platform brings Pakistan to the forefront of international motorsport and generates support from nationals within the country and the diaspora spread across the globe.

This weekend's A1GP races will be another exciting challenge for A1 Team Pakistan and Nur Ali. It is the first visit for Ali and, following on the heels of the demanding Zandvoort circuit, will offer a similarly tough test, with the long, twisty track giving Ali further opportunity to build his experience with the car and the team.

He says, "I didn't have much time before the first race, so I think we achieved our goal of settling in to the Series. Now I have more time to be ready for the next race, so we can have a planned programme of preparation for each session and work closely with the crew and engineers to develop the car and its set up for Brno. I'm looking forward to this new challenge, although I know it is another technically demanding circuit. My aim, as always, will be to represent Pakistan on this motorsport stage and fly the flag for my home nation."
