Red Bull driver David Coulthard (right) is to join former F1 driver Eddie Irvine in a new reality show for Sky One, The Race, which hits British TV screens in November.

Coulthard will lead an all-girl team which includes former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart. Irvine's all-boy team includes DJ and actor Goldie and Malcolm In The Middle actor Frankie Muniz.

The show, which will be hosted by Denise Van Outen will see 10 'celebrities' behind the wheel for a week-long series of challenges, including rally cars, off-road buggies and monster trucks. At the end of each day the teams will nominate a member to compete in a "gladiatorial racing face-off" to win pole position on the starting grid for a "climax race" at Silverstone.

Surely, another good reason to head down the pub.
