The end of the 2005 Formula One season - at nineteen races the longest in the 55-year history of the series - means that there will be an 'end of term' atmosphere within the pitlane at Shanghai this weekend.

We don't know what it's like in these politically correct times but in the good 'old days', particularly the last day of term before the Christmas break, we were all encouraged to take along games to play.

Therefore, our last Caption Competition of the F1 season, isn't aimed so much at race fans - though they are welcome to enter - but the boys and girls who work in the industry we all know, and love, as F1.

The subject of our Caption Competition is frequently the talk of garages, offices, motorhomes and law courts, We talk of Tom Rubython, Editor-in-Chief of Business F1 magazine, a man who has (slightly) ruffled a few feathers in his time.

Here we see Tom merrily making his way to the inaugural A1 GP event at Brands Hatch - an event that he predicted would be a damp squib. His little shopping trolley is laden with copies of Business F1 which will be handed out to various corporate guests, in order that they can read it and learn of the cesspit that is F1, according to Mr R at any rate. A world populated by liars, cheats, thieves, incompetents, 'swordsmen' and general ner-do-wells.

We know that there are many within the F1 paddock who will want to enter our little bit of fun, but may be afraid to, just in case Tom and his merry band of men put them down for 'special treatment' in the next issue. Therefore, if you ask nicely, we will happily refer to you as 'Mr X', though we will be happy to use your nom de plume of choice.
