Kiesa to join Jordan?

NEWS STORY
20/07/2005

There is widespread speculation, prompted mainly by rumours coming out of Denmark, that former Minardi driver, Nicolas Kiesa, is on the verge of being named as Jordan's third driver, replacing Robert Doornbos.

The Danish driver, joined Minardi for the last five races of the 2003 Formula One season, but was unable to find the necessary funding to drive for the Italian team in 2004 or indeed 2005. Earlier this year, he was close to being named as the Faenza outfit's second driver - to Christijan Albers - but was unable to come up with enough money.

That said, he has maintained a good relationship with the team, occasionally taking part in tests and also driving the two-seaters at promotional events.

It's believed that Jordan will confirm its line-up for Hockenheim on Thursday morning.

Renault test driver, Franck Montagny, drove the third Jordan at the Nurburgring, but this was a one-off.
