The President and Chairman of A1 Grand Prix, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, today announced a number of personnel changes to A1 Grand Prix.

Sheikh Maktoum said, "A1 Grand Prix has expanded and developed in such a way that we have now reached the point where my focus has shifted towards the management of our franchises, race promotion and the functions involved with running the Championship itself. The Company is now established to the level where I am pleased to be able to promote those people around me who have understood my vision and who can carry it forward from where A1 Grand Prix is today. They have each earned their new appointments and will take a more active role in the Company from now on and I congratulate them. I am also delighted to welcome our recent new appointments to the staff at A1 Grand Prix".

Tony Teixeira has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer, whilst additionally retaining his role as an Executive Director. John Wickham has been promoted to Global Operations Manager.

With the Championship now gaining momentum, the London office, which houses the commercial, marketing and media functions, has expanded its operation. Richard Dorfman has been promoted to Commercial and Broadcast Director and is Managing Director of the London office, assisted by Guy Nicholls who has been recruited as Marketing and Communications Manager.

Kathrin Ritter and Antonia Malt also join the team in the roles of Account Executive, Client and Commercial Services and Adam Barr has been promoted to Manager of Internet Operations.
