Drivers, team bosses and officials joined marshals in a minute's silence in memory of Mark Robinson, the marshal killed during the Canadian Grand Prix.

After the day's activity, when the marshals on duty at Silverstone were due to attend their own pit walkabout, they were joined by all the drivers, their team bosses and officials, including FIA president Jean Todt, at a poignant ceremony underneath the podium.

In front of a picture of the Canadian, who was run over by a crane in the aftermath of Esteban Gutierrez' crash in Montreal, the paddock paid tribute to the 38-year-old.

Following the minute's silence there was spontaneous applause.
