Paddock pass for Roscoe!

03/03/2013

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that his dog, Roscoe, a Bulldog pup, is to get its very own paddock pass.

The canine cutie has been a regular in the paddock during pre-season testing, and Hamilton, a keen animal fan, has made no secret of his desire to take him to races.

Despite the fan that there is a strict ban on dogs at F1 circuits, Hamilton has revealed to to Sky Sports F1 that Roscoe is to get his very own paddock pass from Bernie Ecclestone, once a suitable photograph has been provided.

"Bernie was kind enough to allow him to have one," he said. "I've just got to get a picture of him..."

Introducing the pup at Jerez last month, Hamilton told reporters: He's my new best buddy. I grew up with dogs around me. My mum has five dogs and my dad too. I've always wanted dogs and never had the opportunity so I went for it. I've got him a passport and he's going to travel around with me."

It is unclear whether Christian Horner, Mark Webber and Sergio Perez, all fellow dog lovers, will make similar requests to Mr E.
